We don't close any inbound port: you install and it answers. We only leave outbound 25 closed so that, if you get hacked, they can't send spam; we open it if you ask.
We'd rather tell you clearly now, not later. That way you know where
you stand and there are no surprises.
Unmanaged by defaultWe give you root: the system, its security and its updates are yours. We look after the hardware, the network, the hypervisor and the Manager. If you want us to do it all, the Managed VPS is there for that.
Disk only growsYou scale CPU, RAM and disk whenever you want. The disk, by how it works, can't shrink: if you need less, we have to reinstall.
Powered off is not freeIf you power it off, it still holds its seat and we still bill it. To stop paying, delete it: we stop the charge there and then.
The monthly price is a projectionThat "€/month" is 720 hours. A real month may have 28 or 31 days: you pay the hours the server has existed, nothing more.

What is a VPS server?
A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a server running on virtualisation;
in our case, KVM/QEMU. We take the "private" part seriously: your
CPU, RAM and disk are yours alone, we don't share them and only you
have access. It can host a website, email, a VPN, a game server or
whatever you want to run.
How much does a cheap VPS in Spain cost?
The smallest one we leave at €5/month (1 vCore, 1 GB of RAM and
10 GB NVMe on Intel E5 nodes), with a dedicated IPv4, 1 TB of
traffic, nightly backup and a replica in France included. We bill
by the hour, so if you only keep it a few days, you pay those days.
It's cheap because the hardware, the network and the datacenter in
Spain are ours: no middleman inflating the price.
Does the price go up on renewal?
There's no renewal that puts the price up. We charge hour by hour
what you see in the configurator, on day one and a year later. We
don't run welcome offers that jump later, and we don't charge a
setup fee. The only gift is the credit when you validate your
account, and that doesn't change the hourly price. If we ever
move rates, you'll see it in the configurator and the Manager
before it hits you.
Where are the servers located?
We keep every VPS in Spain, in our room at the Digital Realty
datacenter in Madrid, on our own hardware and network (AS59432).
That's why you're usually under 1 ms from any Spanish ISP, and
your data stays in Spain, in the EU and under the GDPR. The daily
backup replica goes to France, also in Europe.
Can I check latency and the network before ordering?
Yes, and without creating an account. On the
Looking Glass
you run ping, MTR and a download test against our Madrid network
from home or the office: what you see is what you'll get. On
network status you see if we're
healthy right now, on peering we tell
you who we connect with, and you can cross-check AS59432 on
bgp.tools.
If it doesn't convince you, you haven't spent a euro.
How does pay-per-use work?
You load balance (card, bank transfer or crypto) and each VPS only
deducts the hours it exists. The "€/month" in the configurator is
720 hours. If you delete it, we stop charging you there and then;
if you only power it off, it still holds its seat and we still
bill it. No lock-in, no fixed fees.
How long does VPS activation take?
As soon as you have balance, the Manager brings it up in seconds
and shows you how to get in. Nobody reviews it by hand and we
don't leave you waiting.
Can I scale up the resources later?
Yes, and separately: just CPU, just RAM, just disk or just IPs,
from the Manager, without asking us. The only thing we can't do
is shrink a disk; if you need less, we have to reinstall.
Which operating systems can I install?
With one click: AlmaLinux, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, RouterOS or
Windows. If it's not on the list, mount your ISO from the panel
and install (or compile) what you want. For a light desktop,
graphical Ubuntu outperforms Windows on small VPS.
Do you offer Windows VPS with remote desktop (RDP)?
Yes, and we walk through it on
Windows VPS with RDP. You connect
via Remote Desktop from anywhere, we don't charge extra for
Windows (you bring the licence, and it usually costs less) and
it starts at €16/month, billed hourly. A lot of people use it
for MetaTrader left on all day or to centralise their ERP.
Do I need to open ports? Can I send email?
We don't block any inbound port: you install and it answers. Check
the VPS firewall, which you handle from the panel. The only thing
we leave closed is outbound 25, so that if you get hacked they
can't send spam. If you need to send email, ask us and we'll
open it.
Does the VPS have a dedicated IP? Can I add more?
Yes: we give you a public, static IPv4 that's yours alone, with
every port, plus IPv6. If you need more, you add fail-over IPv4
to your account: you move them from one VPS to another and they're
yours while you keep them. If you get hit a lot, AntiDDoS IPs from
Voxility or inLine for €3/month.
What anti-DDoS protection does the VPS include, and what are its limits?
On every IP we clean volumetric attacks (layer 3/4: UDP and SYN
floods, DNS/NTP amplification and the like) at no extra cost.
SMAMA, our detector, sees them and diverts the traffic on its own.
Two limits we want you to know: it acts once the attack has
started, and it doesn't cover layer 7 (HTTP). If you get hit
often, an AntiDDoS IP from Voxility or inLine (€3/month, up to
10 Tbps, routed in Madrid with no ping increase) is the one to
tick in the configurator. We cover the rest on
AntiDDoS.
How do backups work?
Every night we copy your VPS and every day we send a replica to
France. If something serious happens, you have a copy far away,
always in the EU, at no extra cost. If you want more copies, you
add them on demand. Everything from the Manager: restore is one
click, no ticket.
Can I use the VPS to host websites (hosting)?
Of course: you have root and you install what you want, if you're
comfortable. If you'd rather not touch the system, the
Managed VPS with cPanel is for you:
we look after the server and you look after your business. And if
it's a single website, a cPanel hosting
plan might be enough.
What is the difference between this VPS and the Managed VPS?
This VPS we hand you with root and you run it. We look after the
hardware, the network, the hypervisor and the Manager. The
Managed VPS adds cPanel and our
team looking after the server (install, updates, security,
backups and 24×7 watch), with the same hourly billing, from
€85/month at the base (2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe plus
200 GB of backups and cPanel Admin Cloud). It's for someone with
an SME or a shop who doesn't want (or can't be) a sysadmin.
Is it suitable for WordPress or a WooCommerce shop? How many resources do I need?
Yes. For a WordPress site with medium traffic (tens of thousands
of visits a month) Cloud L (2 vCores, 4 GB and 50 GB NVMe,
€16/month) with cache usually has room to spare. For WooCommerce
we'd start you on 2-4 vCores and 4-8 GB, because PHP and MySQL
fight over RAM on every purchase, and then we scale only what
you need when a campaign hits. If nobody on your team will
touch Linux, the Managed VPS with
cPanel takes that on and, with LiteSpeed, gives you LSCache for
WordPress and WooCommerce.
What happens if my VPS goes down?
The network is the first thing we look after: we monitor it 24×7
and, as soon as something goes wrong, we get the alert. We almost
always fix it before you notice. If your VPS doesn't answer, check
the machine first (that's usually it) with the panel console,
which works even without SSH. And if it won't come back up, tell
us: our engineers are there to help you with whatever you need.
