Hosting disk space at 100%

If you have a cPanel hosting plan with GINERNET and you have used 100% of your allotted disk space, you will notice your website returning errors, both when browsing and when sending or receiving email.

At this point, you can do two things:

  • Delete content
  • Get more space

Deleting content

The quickest option is to connect via FTP and delete whatever you no longer need.

Another option is through cPanel: from the File Manager you can delete anything you do not need.

Email accounts also take up space: deleting old sent or received messages can free up quite a few MB.

Remember that from the client area you can:

  • Access cPanel
  • Access the File Manager
  • Change your cPanel password

Getting more space

If you have used up all your space and need to keep growing, the best option is to upgrade your disk space. Besides, the bigger the plan, the cheaper the €/GB ratio becomes.
